She came to fame in the late 1990s, after a string of films that highlighted her sex appeal, including Wild Things and The World Is Not Enough. Richards is also known for her marriage to (and divorce from) actor Charlie Sheen. Denise Lee Richards was born on February 17, 1971 in Downers Grove, Illinois (Southwest of Chicago, near Naperville). She later moved to California, and completed her graduation from El Camino High School in Oceanside, California. After completing her graduation she immediately went into the modeling business. Denise Richards modeled in Tokyo, Paris, New York and became a make-up girl for Bonne Bell. During this time she appeared in a lot of swim suit magazine articles. Denise Richards soon took up acting. Her first role on TV was on the drama "Life Goes On". After that she made guest appearances in Melrose Place, Married with Children, Seinfeld, Lois and Clark, and Weird Science. She is most famous for her appearance as Bond Girl Christmas Jones in the James Bond film The World is Not Enough (1999), as well as her appearances in films such as Wild Things (1998), Starship Troopers (1997), and the slasher flick Valentine (2001) alongside David Boreanaz and Katherine Heigl. Denis Richards is the wife of actor Charlie Sheen. She and Charlie Sheen both had very small roles in Loaded Weapon 1 (1993) (they do not share on-screen time), years before they met and fell in love on the set of Good Advice (2001). The couple have a daughter, Sam, born on March 9, 2004.
