Clive Owen is a Golden Globe- and BAFTA-winning critically acclaimed English actor, now a regular performer in Hollywood and independent American films.

Owen first made his initial appearance on British Television. In 1988, when he was 24 he stared as Jake in the Channel 4 film “Vroom”. His acting career during the late eighties and early nineties, has kept the British Television fan base applauding his skills. Owen started his Hollywood roles in the 1996 film “The Rich man’s Wife” along side Hale berry, which led on to him doing the internationally acclaimed film “The Croupier”. Owen plays the role of a struggling writer who takes a job in a notorious London Casino, and wanted use this as an inspiration to his work, only to get fumbled on a robbery. The climax is very interesting and must watch.

Later he started doing commercial movies where he started to earn his respect among some really talented American actors. His role as Dwight McCarthy, in the Frank Miller special movie Sin City gained him great response. He plays the role of an outlaw who helps a group of female friends to keep their grounds from infested political power. This to follow with a stunning performance as a bank robber in the blockbuster film “The Inside Man”, where he stars with Denzel Washington.

In 2006, Owen stared as a political activist in a phenomenal film “Children of Men”. Depicted in the future the film could be named as a statement to the things that this world takes for granted. Owen’s performance trying to save a pregnant girl amongst many catastrophes could be considered a spotlight in his career. Prior to this Owen also appeared in some other drama films, ‘derailed’, ‘closer’, ‘king Arthur’, and ‘Beyond Borders’. He also stared with rising star Matt Damon, in ‘The Bourne Identity’.

Clive Owen was also nominated as the next actor to take the role of James Bond after Pierce Brosnan, by the British audience. Later the title went off to British actor Daniel Craig. Smart Clive Owen went on to take the role of “Nigel Boswell, Agent 006” in the 2006 remake of The pink panther. At the peak of his career Clive Owen is becoming very recognized among some very talented set of celebrities in the Hollywood movie industry.
