Collin James Farrell is an Irish actor who gained his ground in some high profiled Hollywood movies. Born in 1976, the Irish Kid was known as the 6th Sexiest man in the world in 2003 by the Company Magazine. In 2007, Farrell acted as a brand ambassador to help promote the Special Olympics World games in Shanghai, China.
Colin started his career with his role as Pvt. Roland Bozz in ‘Tigerland’. His skills impressed many critics and was chosen for the role of Jesse James in the critically acclaimed ‘American Outlaws’ in 2001. In the same year he did ‘Phone Booth’, a cheap budget movie where the entire set was taken in one long street with a phone booth in it. The movie was very well accepted and increased his recognition to many other movie makers. In 2002, he was chosen by Director Steven Speilberg to star in ‘Minority Report’ along with Tom Cruise. In 2004, he took on the Historical role of ‘Alexander the Great’, where he played the title role along with popular celebrities Angelina Jolie and Anthony Hopkins. In 2003 he starred with Samuel L. Jackson in ‘SWAT’ for ehich he went on to win the MTV best actor award for that year.
In 2005, Colin sued ex girlfriend, playboy model Nicole Narain, for releasing a sex tape that she had done with him to the media. He claimed that the tape was of confidential nature and it was released to tarnish his image and career. Later the court decided to remove all material that is on the web with regard to this tape. In 2006 he appeared along side Jamie Foxx in Michael Mann’s ‘Miami Vice’. The film was a huge success grossing over 163 million dollars.
