Born 1968 in Sydney, Australia - Hugh Michael Jackman was the youngest son to British parents, Chris Jackman and Grace Watson. Having grown up with his father most of his childhood, Jackman attended an all boys Public School, where in 1985, he did his first ever stage performance for the musical “My Fair lady”, directed by his school headmaster. Later he went on to graduate in Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) from The Edith Cowan University in Perth. He is also claimed to have a major in journalism up his sleeve.

Jackman first entered television in 1996, during which he stared as Duncan Jones in the popular TV Series ‘Snowy River: The McGregor Saga’.
