Thomas J. Black, Jr. is an American actor Comedian and Musician. He is the lead singer and Guitarist for his Band Tenacious D, which is a comedy/rock influenced band. He is also a key member of the Frat pack in Hollywood with other fellow comedians Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, and Steve Carell.
Jack Black started his acting career as a TV star appearing in The Golden Palace, Life Goes on and The X Files. This led into doing small roles in Hollywood movies which further raised his role. In 2002 he starred in his first major role in ‘Orange County’. The very next year he plays the role of a school music teacher who influences kids to start up a Rock band in 2003’s ‘School of Rock’. He also has lent his voice talents to animations like ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Shark Tale’. In 2005, he starred as Carl Denham in the critically acclaim Peter Jackson movie ‘King kong’.
