Michael Douglas is the son of the renowned actor ‘Kirk Douglas’. He was born in 1944 in New Jersey. Being a son to a well known actor made him well versed with his father’s profession. It was in the 1972 that Michael came into the spotlight by starring in the long running TV series ‘The Streets of San Francisco’. In 1975 he also went to win an Academy award for producing ‘One flew over the Cuckoo’s nest’.

In 1988, Michael won an Academy Award for his performance in ‘Wall Street’, which led him to continue doing roles with the same persona.
