Ralph Fiennes is a British actor who has been in the Entertainment industry for the past 17 years. Ralph was first recognized for his role in Steven Speilberg’s ‘Schindler’s List’. He plays the role of Amon Goth who is a Nazi Concentration camp Commandant, for which he was nominated an Academy award. Even though he couldn’t win an Oscar for his performance, he went on to win Best Supporting Actor BAFTA award.
In 1996 Ralph starred as a Hungarian geographer who gets badly burnt in a plane crash, who is being looked after by a Canadian French nurse in a ruined Italian Monastery during World War II, in ‘The English Patient’ – a film based on the Novel by Sri Lankan Canadian Michael Ondaatje. Ralph’s performance in the movie is truly remarkable and was nominated for an Academy award for the second time. Later Ralph began to take up more roles in thriller movies like ‘Harry Potter’, and ‘Red Dragon’. Many critics claim Ralph’s performance in ‘Red Dragon’ to fit perfect to the Thomas Harris novel.
In 2002, Ralph Fiennes starred in the Award winning thriller ‘Spider’ for which both Miranda Richardson and Ralph received Critical acclaim.
In personal life Ralph is the eldest son of six siblings. Upcoming talent, actor Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love, Luther) is his brother. His sister Martha works as a director (Onegin). His brother Magnus Fiennes is a composer. His other sister, Sophie Fiennes is also a filmmaker. His other brother, Jacob Fiennes, is a conservationist. His foster brother, Michael Emery, is an archaeologist. He was once married to actress Alex Kingston, whom he divorced in 1997, and has been in several relationships ever since.
He was caught having sex in a Qantas business class toilet with flight attendant/prostitute Lisa Robertson, who lost her job due to her actions. To date Ralph has not spoken about his actions in the business class toilet, but his spokesman has made it clear to the media that Robertson was the initiator to all that happened.
