Timothy Allen Dick was born in 1953, in Denver, USA. He is Emmy award nominated, Golden Globe Award winning actor and voice over artist. Tim initially started his career as a stand up comedian in popular clubs in Los Angeles, which attracted him to sit com producer Mat Williams who chose him do the title role in the hit sit com drama ‘Home improvement’. Tim gained most of his recognition doing the role of ‘Tim the tool man Taylor’, to which he was very committed from 1991 to 1999.
In 1994, he was asked to do the role of Santa Clause in the highest grossing film ‘The Santa Clause’, later he continued playing the same role in ‘The Santa Clause 2’ and ‘The Santa Clause 3 – the Escape Clause’. Through out his career he has starred in many comedies which have been targeted mainly to the cild and home entertainment segment.
Tim Allen proved his voice over talents by voicing the character of Buzz Lightyear in the hit animation ‘Toy Story 1 & 2’ and also in the 2006 animation ‘cars’. He is also responsible for the best seller book ‘Don’t stand too close to a Naked Man’. Though Allen is a comedian on screen, in real life he has been arrested twice and has gone through a divorce
