Wesley Trent Snipes is an American actor, martial artist and film producer who is very well known for his Vampire hunter role in the Blade trilogy movies. Having starred in many movies through out the 80s, Snipes started his own production company in the early nineties.
Snipes has mastered the arts on Karate, Kung Fu and Capoeira which allows him to star in many action movies like ‘The Art of War’, 'Rising Sun', 'Demolition Man', 'Sugar Hill', 'Drop Zone', 'Money Train' and 'The Fan'. Apart from his action movies he has also taken up comedy roles in ‘White men can’t Jump’ and in ‘The Waterdance’. In 1998 Snipes starred in the opening of the year's cult hit ‘Blade’, which has grossed over $150 million worldwide. He was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and received an honorary doctorate from his alma mater, SUNY/Purchase, for his outstanding achievements in film.
In 2005, Snipes was charged for trying to pass through a South African airport with illegal documents. Not much of the matter has been brought out into the media, but it is said that the South African Government reduced his immigration status to undesirable. The very next year he was charged with a Tax fraud and arrested in Orlando international Airport. He pleaded guilty and was released on a $1 million bond.
