William H. Macy was born in Miami, Florida, in 1950. He is best known for his teaching skills in acting and also is the founder of the St. Nicholas Theater Company. He is applauded for his acting skills in Magnolia, along with Tom cruise, Juliane Moore and Ricky Ray. Macy was nominated for an Oscar for his lead role in the movie ‘Fargo’.
Macy is a Lutheran who lives in California and is a strong supporter of John Kerry. Unlike many Hollywood actors Macy has always been involved in many stage plays through out his career. He also has appeared in popular TV series including ‘ER’.
His last hit on screen was playing the role of Senator Ortolan K. Finisterre, who is on an anti smoking spree to save Americans from their smoking habits and reduce the death rate due to smoking.
